Ida Rieu Welfare Association, one of the very few organization serving with devotion and dedication now for well over 8 decades is a symbol of excellent service for the Blind and Deaf.
The campus now completely re-built with the most modern teaching methods bears witness to the philanthropy of the citizens of Karachi. Housing a school/college for the Blind, Deaf, Hostel for Blind Boys and Girls and a Home for the aged is a salute to the donors and the planners. Visit the Ida Rieu to see the various sections of education, vocational training and living facilities.
Over 900 students to whom almost all facilities are free as most students hail from the poorer section is a tribute to the teachers, administrators and management. We at Ida Rieu are indeed proud that we “TURN DISABILITY INTO ABILITY” as each student qualify into a good, honest, hardworking person by the time they leave this Institution.
This Institution can maintain and run efficiently as we are supported by our valued donors but we continue to need support as we wish to maintain and sustain this Institution as the best in the region.
