On visiting the splendid building of this institute and its various sections in which the children are studying and those persons whose hearts are full of devotion and dedication towards the cause of serving the humanity i got truly impressed.
For the special children with hearing and visual impairment this institute has got a paramount importance and the enormous donation which Mrs. Nadira Panjwani has provided for the renovation of this complex is such a singular example of service which shall be followed by those individuals and institutions who have been blessed abundantly with all the riches of the world.
I congratulate all those men and women who have taken their part in the construction of this complex and in its establishment as a well-organized institute.
I pray may god give all the success to this institute in achieving its objects and the best rewards to all those who are attached with this institute. Ameen!

I was pleased to visit the IDA RIEU welfare school for the blind and deaf on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the Sarah Jafri girls hostel on 18th June, 1995.
During the course of my visit i was indeed pleased to visit the computer section and observed the special children operating computers with ease and competence. I was happy to know that the institution was providing computer training which is essential to face the challenges of the 21st century with confidence and courage.
I wish the students of computer section all success in their lives.

The standard of education and vocational training is exceptionally high and comparable with any world class institution for special children. I want to specially place on record the commitment and dedication rendered by the principal towards this noble cause. This institution is indeed unique in its standard and outlook. I wish them god speed in their endeavors to further improve upon its result and output.

I can’t find words to say how deeply touched and inspired i am after visiting this “institution of hope and excellence” for the blind and deaf. This is phenomenal work and the credit goes to the team of the board, volunteers and teaching staff who are running world class institution.
I would humbly suggest that they look into the possibility of making this a resource centre to share best practices to train others so that this excellent model can be repeated elsewhere in Pakistan to serve more and more people.
It would be a personal honor for me to be a part of this noble work in any capacity. I once again thank Mrs. Panjwani for blessing me with a visit to this institute.
DR. NASIM ASHRAF - Chairman, National Committee For Human Development (27.09.2002).
It gives me great pleasure to give my comments after visiting IDA RIEU institute/college. I found this institution highly academically impressive. It is equipped with the modern technology, which are being used to impart education to deaf and blind students. The library which is one of the important source for providing good education to the students, the library having 6000 books is contributing towards providing books to the students. The teachers teaching the deaf and blind students are enough capable to teach these special students. They are teaching and using teaching aids at par of global educational standards for deaf and blind.
I do appreciate the contribution and devotion of the principal and management of this institution for managing teaching and administrative affairs in such efficient manner which is not less than any excellent academic institution in Pakistan.
I look forward that this institution would certainly initiate for introducing post graduate classes for deaf and blind.
The university of Karachi will co-operate in your academic development.
